Working with someone who had never worked a reloading press before, and I had no problems teaching them how to reload bullets with this press at all. In fact, I had to do very little teaching. I did a lot of research before buying this particular press, and looked at a lot of brands. Particularly, I was looking for a press where I could reload low quantities of high quality rounds. I was looking to reload the most accurate rounds imaginable. I was setting out to put store bought rounds to shame. Back to the press itself; The Lock n’ Load system of the Hornady is what lured be to their press in the first page. I absolutely had to be able to set the dies in the collets and then know they are going to be perfect for the next time. This is a big time saver and really builds confidence in repeatable reloads of bullets. Aside from a active hand loader, I am a machinist by hobby as well as an Engineer by trade. So I know a little about precise machinery and close tolerances, and I am impressed that Hornady has come out with such a precise press kit at such a low price. Another big plus is the depriming function when resizing the brass, which is common for pretty much any reloader. The deprimer works great, and conveniently drops the spent primers in the small trash bin, which is provided. I have not had to chase any primers around on the floor. The rest of the kit is just great also, with decent quality components for the beginning reloader. If you are starting out in this hobby, this is a great way to do it, and you can grow for quite a while before needing something more complex. The huge variety of dies from Hornady is also a huge plus.
